MarketHustle LLC (“MarketHustle,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the MarketHustle website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), and password. If you sign up using Google or Facebook authentication, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from those services.
Profile Information: Information you add to your profile, including profile photo, bio, location, and social media links.
Listing Information: If you are a Seller, we collect information about the services or products you list, including descriptions, pricing, images, categories, availability, and cancellation policy.
Payment Information: When you make or receive payments through the Platform, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment card details, bank account information, and billing address. MarketHustle does not directly store your full credit card numbers or bank account details — this information is handled by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy and PCI DSS standards.
Seller Verification Information: If you set up a Stripe Connect account to receive payments, Stripe collects identity verification information including your legal name, date of birth, last four digits of your Social Security Number, and bank account details. This information is collected and processed by Stripe, not stored by MarketHustle.
Communications: Messages you send and receive through the Platform's chat system, including messages between Buyers and Sellers, and messages within Circles community groups.
Inquiry and Booking Information: Details you provide when submitting inquiries or making bookings, including event dates, locations, requirements, and preferences.
Reviews and Content: Reviews, ratings, posts, comments, and other content you create on the Platform.
Support Communications: Information you provide when you contact our customer support, including the content of your messages.
1.2 Information We Collect Automatically
Usage Information: We collect information about how you use the Platform, including pages viewed, features used, search queries, and interactions with listings and other Users.
Device Information: We collect information about the device you use to access the Platform, including device type, operating system, browser type, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
Location Information: With your consent, we collect your approximate location based on your IP address or device GPS to provide location-based services such as finding nearby Sellers. You can disable location services in your device settings.
Log Data: Our servers automatically record information when you access the Platform, including your IP address, access times, referring URLs, and pages viewed.
Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activity. See Section 7 for more details.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
Authentication Providers: If you sign in using Google or Facebook, we receive basic profile information from those services.
Payment Processor: Stripe provides us with limited transaction information, including payment status, transaction amounts, and Seller account status. We do not receive your full payment card details from Stripe.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
Providing the Platform: To operate, maintain, and improve the Platform, process transactions, facilitate bookings, and enable communication between Users.
Payments: To process payments, facilitate transfers to Sellers, manage refunds, and prevent fraud.
Communication: To send you transactional notifications (booking confirmations, payment receipts, inquiry responses), service updates, and security alerts. We may also send you marketing communications with your consent, which you can opt out of at any time.
Personalization: To personalize your experience, including showing you relevant listings based on your location and preferences.
Safety and Security: To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity.
Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests.
Analytics: To analyze usage patterns and trends to improve the Platform and develop new features.
Dispute Resolution: To investigate and resolve disputes between Users.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share your information in the following circumstances:
3.1 With Other Users
When you make a Booking or send a message, we share relevant information with the other party to facilitate the transaction. For example, when a Buyer books a Service, the Seller receives the Buyer's name, contact information, and booking details. When a Seller accepts a Booking, the Buyer receives the Seller's contact information and service details.
3.2 With Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate the Platform, including:
- Stripe — payment processing and Seller payouts
- Pusher — real-time messaging
- Resend — email notifications
- Mapbox — location and mapping services
- Cloud hosting providers — data storage and server infrastructure
These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
3.3 For Legal Reasons
We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; (b) enforce our Terms of Service; (c) detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, or safety of MarketHustle, our Users, or the public.
3.4 Business Transfers
If MarketHustle is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such transfer and any choices you may have regarding your information.
3.5 With Your Consent
We may share your information with third parties when you give us explicit consent to do so.
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Data Storage
Your information is stored on servers located in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer and storage of your information in the United States.
4.2 Security Measures
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure password hashing, access controls, and regular security assessments.
4.3 No Guarantee
While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
4.4 Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
5. Your Rights and Choices
5.1 Account Information
You can access, update, or correct your account information at any time through your account settings.
5.2 Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at privacy@markethustle.co. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal information, subject to any legal retention requirements. Note that some information may persist in backup systems for a limited period and that content you posted publicly (such as reviews) may remain on the Platform in anonymized form.
5.3 Communication Preferences
You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in our emails or adjusting your notification settings. You cannot opt out of transactional communications (booking confirmations, payment receipts, security alerts) as these are necessary for the operation of the Platform.
5.4 Location Data
You can disable location services through your device settings. Note that some Platform features may not function properly without location data.

6. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business purpose for collecting the information, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete the personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions.
Right to Correct: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Right to Opt Out of Sale: We do not sell your personal information. If this changes, we will provide a “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link.
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights.

7.1 What We Use
We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
Essential Cookies: Required for the Platform to function, including session management, authentication, and security. These cannot be disabled.
Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how Users interact with the Platform, including pages visited, features used, and performance metrics.
Preference Cookies: Remember your settings and preferences to personalize your experience.
7.2 Third-Party Cookies
Some of our service providers (such as analytics providers) may place cookies on your device. These third-party cookies are subject to the respective third party's privacy policy.
7.3 Managing Cookies

The Platform is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Platform and updating the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
