Northside Brass Music Co.

Northside Brass Music Co. is a live music company founded in 2011 by Chicago trumpet player and educator Ryan Hobbs, providing string quartets, jazz bands, brass bands, swing bands and soloists for weddings and events. Couples often pair a string quartet for the ceremony with a jazz quartet for cocktail hour and a seven-piece swing band for dancing, and the group arranges custom pieces such as Lord of the Rings processionals. Bookings can include uplighting, dance-floor lighting and a curated playlist between sets. Recent weddings include the Art Institute of Chicago, House of Blues Chicago, the Westin Lombard and the Morton Arboretum.
